T8 MakerSpace Button Making Instructions
Steps for Making Buttons
CREATE YOUR ARTWORK
Main image must fit in a 58mm diameter circle
Background should extend to at least a 65mm diameter
PRINT/COLOR YOUR ARTWORK
Print your artwork out (or color by hand), make sure that your 65mm artwork is centered inside of a printed 90mm circle. Click one of the links below for a template for printing 6 buttons per page of paper.
When you go to print these documents, you may get an error saying “outside of printable area” area or “cannot fit on page.” Print the file anyway and DO NOT click the “Fit to Page” button. A very small bit of the 90 mm circle might get cut off, but that is totally okay.
CUT YOUR CIRCLES
Use the “Cut a Circle II” machine to cut your artwork into button sized circular blanks. See the video on this page for specific instructions on how to use the machine and troubleshoot problems
USE THE PRESS TO MAKE YOUR BUTTONS
Use the “Badge-a-matic II” machine to seal your artwork inside a button. See the video on this page for specific instructions on how to use the machine and troubleshoot problems
