IN THE T8 MAKERSPACE, STUDENT SAFETY IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY

Before a student can use any of the tools or equipment in the MakerSpace, they must complete the appropriate unit on the safe and correct use of each device. Training will include some readings and/or videos to confer the information, completion of an online safety test for that device with a perfect score, and a practical exam or demonstration of proper use of the device under the direct supervision of Mr. Schmidt. As proof of completion, the student will receive a Tool Safety Card showing the tools and devices that have been cleared for use by the student.
