What is Entrepreneurship?

To prepare for our in-class Socratic seminar about the meaning and importance of an entrepreneurial mindset, please complete the following readings/viewings about both traditional and non-profit views of entrepreneurship.

While reading/viewing consider the following focus questions:

What is an entrepreneurship?

What element(s) of the entrepreneurial mindset do you feel you best exhibit?

What are the major differences between traditional and non-profit entrepreneurship, and how does that change the entrepreneurial mindset?

In this class, you will not be risking or receiving money as the driving force of entrepreneurial decision making. How does the nature of this class reflect elements of both traditional and non-profit entrepreneurship?

Can the pursuit of the public well-being of a community be a primary driving force for entrepreneurship?

SAFE AND PROPER USE
OF MAKERSPACE TOOLS

Before you can use any of the tools in the T8 MakerSpace, you must first demonstrate that you will be able to use them appropriately. This will ensure the safety of you and those around you, as well as the long term function of the tool.

Approval for any tool consists of 3 parts:

Read of view the given safety readings/videos

Complete the online safety test as many times as necessary until you achieve a 100%.

Complete a hands-on practical test with Mr. Schmidt on the given tool. He will have a task for you to perform under his observation to ensure you are using the tool safely and properly.
