Individual MakerSpace Projects

  • Learn to use Woodworking Tools

    Woodworking

In the woodworking unit, you will learn to use the drill press, router, and table saw. After making dice with these tools, you will stain and finish your completed die. An extension project building a tall stool is available after completion of the dice project.

  • Learn to sew by hand and using a sewing machine!

    Sewing & Embroidery

In the sewing unit, all students will complete a hand sewing sampler and a machine sewing sampler. As a final product, students will either create three juggling bags or a shop apron. An extension project using the embroidery machine is also available.

  • Student Created 3-D Prints

    3D Modeling & Printing

In the 3D modeling and printing unit, students learn the basics of either OnShape or Blender and create their own .stl file that can then be sliced and printed on either of the MakerSpace 3D printers.

  • Line Following Robot Project

    Electronics & Programming

In the electronics and programming unit, students will learn to program using the Arduino programming language (basically an open source subset of C++.) After a few introductory tutorials, students will design the code to create a robot designed to follow a black line on the ground.
